Togashi scored a goal Whit his head

Astolfo-kun • 1 year ago

Dang Aoi was scary telling Tachibana his mistake with those lifeless eyes of his.

Time. • 1 year ago

Aoi caught Tachibana in 4k lol

Kirito • 1 year ago

Aoi saying he doesn't remember after that goal then he said those hurtful true words to tachibana what a funny excuse you can't lie to us aoi we saw and heard what you did you bully ashito

Kirito • 1 year ago

I think this is the first time I saw togashi act like this like his face is hilarious he scored a goal a defender passing it to a defender and they scored

Kirito • 1 year ago

Ashito meant it that tachibana was spacing out he could have passed it to tachibana but he knows he's weak so he passed it to togashi what a mean guy ashito is when he's in the zone

arun • 1 year ago

someone had to tell tachibana about his position. the only person seems to notice on ground is ashito. he had the same dead eyes when ashito heard hes useless forward, its hard for ashito to say to tachibana but ashito only knows to say it directly.

Kai Kazuhiro • 1 year ago

Tachibana isn't he's just having major confidence problems. And No, His best option before was passing to Tachibana, until Aoi realized he was offside and found Togashi who was in a better position..

also being "real" about it isn't mean.

thunderborn 32 • 1 year ago

probably the worst part is tachibana isn't actually weak, he just has no goals, has no confidence, and his head isn't in the game in his own way. Tachibana got into the team, thats saying alot itself but he hasn't been trying to grow just doing what he always has done.

Aoi's face there is just terrifying
and not because it's necessarily a scary face
but, the eyes especially, it's just lifeless
it's scary because it's gives the feel that there is no soul, nothing to stop them from doing anything

Albedio • 1 year ago

to combat the threat of akutsu whos always finding chance to pick on him,hes gotta be abit merciless n scary.no matter what he still isnt at akutsu's level of villany,n that guy hasnt been kicked from the team despite being such a hooligan

LightninStar • 1 year ago

I think Akutsu is showing Aoi tough** love.

Episode • 1 year ago

Yeah, this is one of the things I really appreciated when I read the manga (and even now): Tachibana getting left behind by Ashito.

We all know how Ashito's growth has been explosive. It's a good thing to see, but at the same time, I also wondered what it's like for players who started in the same starting line as him (a.k.a the players who got selected along him in the tryouts in the first few episodes). I think Tachibana succumbing into pressure and how his self-confidence just decreased every chapter felt satisfying (I know it sounds bad but read the whole sentence) because it addressed how Ashito's exponential growth could become pressuring to those around him. And especially so with how what Ashito said just shattered the last bit of Tachibana's confidence.

Episode • 1 year ago

Just a side note though, perhaps a side critic if you may, I think the manga presented Tachibana's confidence struggles better in the manga. Like I'm not sure but I think the way how Tachibana just looks frustrated in the panels just made it easier for me to absorb how he was struggling. Because in the anime, yeah we definitely got those frustrated/confidence-less faces of Tachibana but I don't think the viewers got enough time to really absorb and therefore feel more Tachibana's frustrations.

Now I'm not saying the adaptation is bad, just that the manga did it slightly better on this aspect. It's not like the anime did exceptionally worse than the manga. And just to remind y'all, it's just my opinion. Whether you agree or disagree is completely fine.

Kirito • 1 year ago

You know I just felt sorry for tachibana when ashito said those words it's like he's saying you're useless at that situation you should focus you weak player but still ashito should have not said those words to tachibana

Episode • 1 year ago

Yeah I felt bad for him as well. I know it may not have been obvious with how I phrased my comment but I felt sorry for Tachibana as well.

But I do think that those words were still beneficial to Tachibana in the long run because I think he needs to realize that he needs to improve and one such way to do that is to try and swallow the bitter truth. If he didn't learn his own shortcomings, he'll be stuck as a weak player forever. Besides, I think Ashiito was just confused with Tachibana since he knows that he could be a better player.

Rip TF • 1 year ago

Well ashito got told way worse things by everyone, especially Akutsu. Tachibana would've committed seppuku in his place

Wasa B • 1 year ago

Why do you feel satisfied about Tachibana’s frustration?

Ps: i read the whole sentence again but still don’t quite understand why

Episode • 1 year ago

It's not so much his frustration itself but rather the meaning behind his frustration. So basically, I felt satisfied because I felt like a problem/conflict that I was expecting to occur (Ashito's effect to those around him) was properly addressed.

casual normie 03 • 1 year ago

I read the manga as well but thanks to the voice acting I can finally understand why yoshitsune is such a dork and his weird way of speaking. There's good and bad with the adaption, but I'm really looking forward to the musashino match

Kirito • 1 year ago

Wait yoshitsune is a dork I always think he's so cool and smooth and he admitted that he's jealous of Kuribayashi and his play style is similar to ashito

Mik • 1 year ago

As someone who has seen this happen it is demoralizing. Especially if you've had win after win before. You question yourself and then harp on mistakes and it's all downhill from there. The biggest skill an athlete can have IMO is mental toughness.

Kirito • 1 year ago

I think ashito got a bigger head when he keeps getting good pass from his teammate and one mistake tachibana was spacing out, ashito got that black eyes like he's angry and roasting the nice guy

Kirito • 1 year ago

Ohtomo was about to shoot it by ashito don't there's a guy so he shoot again he missed

Let's talk ball

Lmao Togashi and Takeshima with a little Harry Maguire moment there.

The thing is they both never really communicate with eachother becz of their graduate, non-graduate barrier.

But they must learn there is only one goat. They must give up on their dreams of following in the footsteps of the man who is hailed by David De Gea as the "deadliest player he has ever faced".

Jokes & aside, Aoi won them the game with his visionary play & that's brings us on today's case study from by Skysports denoting how turning the neck improves decision making. Basically football with statistics.

A study was conducted with "Visual Exploratory Frequency" (meaning body and/or head movement in which the player's face is actively and temporarily directed away from the ball, with the intention of looking for information from the field) where a group of 55 players were divided on the bases of how much they look away from the ball in order to scan information.

The results:-

- The highest-exploring (players with high visual exploratory frequency) hit nearly twice as many forward passes with a 75% success rate.

- As those players who did not explore (players with low visual exploratory frequency) had a low 41% pass succession rate in forward passes.

Also the fact that the best passers always have high visual exploratory frequency.
(For context: 0.50 visual searches per second is considered very high)

Examples being
- Lampard: 0.62 searches per second

- Steven Gerrard: 0.61 searches per second

Then comes
- Xavi with 0.83 searches per second

^^Also if anyone wants to watch the Xavi vision experiment Togashi mentioned in episode 15 you will find it on Reddit, Ao Ashi Subreddit (join the one with most members becz that's the one the video is in) sort to "top all-time" and just scroll a little you will find the original video

The conclusion of the study was that the brilliant players don't play a pass without seeing it; the brilliant players look so early that they play the pass before we have even seen that they have seen it's a pass.

It is not about having the best eyesight, but about how you access the information.

This is how footballing capabilities are calculated with stats.

^^If you want to read the full study article Google search "what gave Xavi Hernandez and Andrea Pirlo an edge on the rest? The secret to his vision" and click on the one by sky sports.

^^I came across this article when I was doing some research trying to find the actual video footage of the Xavi experiment but wasn't able to find the video on google. But I came across this "visual exploratory frequency" article. It was a good read indeed.

The above statistics are solid proof how players with high VEF are better at decision making.

Statistics are nice but you don't even need stats to prove the players who actively scan the pitch are better and more efficient.

The fundamentals of football i.e. passing, positioning, 1st touch, shooting, dribbling, ball control, decision making etc etc all require field awareness (vision) in order to work.

You have great passing but you don't know there your teammate is or where the pass is on so your passing potential is wasted.

You have great shooting but you have the worst positioning sense. You weren't able to find space to shoot the ball on goal i.e. wasted potential.

You are a great dribbler but you always have your eyes dead focused on the ball instead taking the time to look at what's around you, wasted dribbling.

Same thing with all other fundamentals.

Imagine Aoi minus his field awareness/vision.
Basically a headless chicken with great stamina lol.

The fundamentals are like puzzle pieces and field awareness is another puzzle piece.

When both combine in a right way you get a clear scenery.

Players with high VEF look at the field with a clear scenery and thus make the best possible decisions.

Karan Pun • 1 year ago

good to see you again essay kun!

Robert_Sz • 1 year ago

just 1 question..
"Imagine Aoi minus his field awareness/vision.
Basically a headless chicken with great stamina lol."

Aoi is not good as forward because he has no good stamina, or did i missed something? i think even Fukuda said that.
but my mind is tired and not working correctly xd so sorry for that xd

Yashondowski • 1 year ago

Basically he's not good enough to be a forward of the world standards.

According to Fukuda:
-His potential at fullback= world class
-His potential at striker= not even Espersion youth A level

wwlaos • 1 year ago

He's got 5 stars of potential at fullback, but only 1.5 as a forward. :P

Kirito • 1 year ago

When he heard he can score a goal and move forward it made him confused he's a fullback but now a forward and Fukuda was right why didn't ashito shoot and score that goal

Sinaire • 1 year ago

I think he asked him that with the purpose of Ashito finding the answer as to why he passed instead of shooting himself. Fukuda want's to make Ashito into a playmaker, but until Ashito realises that he's a playmaker and can find an answer as to why he passes instead of shooting, he can't put him into the A team. Ashito has to become conscious of the fact that he is a playmaker and not just "a fullback" or "a forward". He is there to make passing plays and set up his team, but doesn't realise it yet.

Yashondowski • 1 year ago

Yeah that's accurate potential in football manager style ^-^

InSANiA • 1 year ago

i dont think its about stamina , it mentioned by fukuda he dont have explosive power and speed to be good forward he also cant dribble that well going againts defender

Kirito • 1 year ago

Yeah that's it and his strong points is his eyes like he's the one giving instruction that's where he's good

HoakusPoakus • 1 year ago

Yeah😂🤣🤣

Suugowi Senpai • 1 year ago

Man this episode was🔥🔥 but sad for tachibana hope he regains his confidence soon

Kirito • 1 year ago

Ashito really said those words to his buddy tachibana and saying he doesn't remember what happened after that what a lame excuse also cool pic dude...

Suugowi Senpai • 1 year ago

Well it's not ashito's fault, tachibana is doing poorly for past matches and the thing ashito told was bit cruel but it's needed

Suugowi Senpai • 1 year ago

Thanks
